No dinosaur pictures? How disappointing :(

Dunes was fun though! I kind of enjoyed the raininess when I look back on it now.

Ugh, I need to post my pictures from Oregon too. I'm so lazy. The third part of the 1st picture, I've been there before :D

Lovely photos ! A lot of people hate wedding, but I think they are fun. Unless of course they are too redneck or cheesy haha :P

This wedding was really great. The ceremony was outside, and very quick, which was nice, and the reception was in this cool lounge. I spent most of the time getting to know my older ex-coworkers who were also friends of the bride and groom!

    Wow! Lovely!

I wanted to ask you how you like Portland OR vs San Fran. Andy and I have never lived outside Boston or NYC and we want to move to either of those places next year.... what to do!?
  • Tofugu_Erin · 3 months ago
Are you going to come visit both before you make your choice? Even if you've been before, it's probably good to check it a place out with the goal of living there in mind.

Portland and San Francisco have slightly different atmospheres, though I like them both. Portland is a little more laid-back, and it's definitely more green (as in, surrounded by forests). It's cheaper to live there, as well. For the same amount we're paying for our little studio in a sort of iffy part of SF, we could have a bigger studio in a really cool part of Portland!

I feel like there's more to do in SF, though, and there are definitely a lot more Asian people (which mattered to me, haha, just for blending-in purposes). It's just bigger, overall, and closer to the ocean, which is neat! Plus we have In-N-Out!

Overall, both cities are nice, and I think I would have a hard time choosing between them, too, if I had equal reasons for being in both places. If you want to email me and talk more about it, please do! Moving is so tedious, isn't it?

That looks so awesome! :) Is that in southern Oregon?! We drove through once, but sorta just jetted on by because our destination was Portland and Astoria...
